Data collection
WhichBox does not collect personal data, usage data, analytics, diagnostics, or tracking information from the app. The app contains no advertising SDKs or third-party analytics SDKs.
Data stored on device
Projects, box details, item names, locations, photos, and QR identifiers are stored locally on your iPhone. This information is not uploaded to WhichBox or BearField IT servers and is not synchronized through a WhichBox account.
You can delete projects, boxes, and items in the app. Deleting the app may delete locally stored data according to iOS behavior. WhichBox does not provide remote backup or account-based recovery.
Photos and camera
If you choose to add a box photo, WhichBox uses the photo or camera access you authorize for that action. The selected or captured image is stored with the local box inventory. WhichBox does not upload the image to its own servers.
QR labels
A WhichBox QR label contains a format version and a randomly generated identifier for one local box. Scanning the label lets WhichBox locate that box in the inventory stored on your device. The label does not contain the box's item list, photo, or location.
Internet access and third parties
Core inventory, search, and QR-label features do not require an internet connection. An iOS service you choose outside WhichBox, such as sharing, printing, TestFlight, or downloading a photo stored in iCloud, may process data under its own terms and privacy policy.
Children
WhichBox is a general productivity utility and does not knowingly collect personal data from children or other users.
Changes
If the app's data practices change, this policy and the App Store privacy information will be updated before an affected version is released.
